Welcome to WifeMomSuperwoman!

Dear Superwoman,

The fact that you’ve landed on my site, is a dream come true for me! My name is Deidre. I am your average Wife, Mom and Superwoman who loves her man, her babe and the world around her. I am the creator and primary content contributor here at WMS. You can find more info about me on the Team page.

I started this website for two very important reasons:

#1. To have a purposeful, creative outlet and career. Staying at home with my son has been My Greatest Calling and joy. That being said, I struggled knowing I was physically restricted by my stay-at-home-mama status; I was unable to feel connected to the world around me, and felt totally derailed in my attempt to live-out my true passion: to encourage and inspire women.

This blog gives me the opportunity to fulfill my purpose in a fresh, new way.

#2. To reach out to you. That’s right, YOU! I meet so many amazing Superwomen out there, living out their dreams and living life to its fullest. And yet the majority of the women I encounter seem unfulfilled, stagnant and hopeless. Most of these women aren’t even struggling with some Great Tragedy. They find themselves fulfilling their obligations: working, cleaning, date nights, having babies, raising babies… And while they’ve waited their whole lives for these roles, they often come up empty, and hungry for more.

This blog is here for that woman. This blog was created to encourage and empower you to embrace the role you’re in, and to change the world around you.

My hope and prayer is that this site will help the WIFE hanging on by a thread, to stay in her marriage. To encourage the MOM who feels her calling has been put on hold, to find purpose where she’s at. And lastly, to rev-up the SUPERWOMAN in all of us, to take a stand and touch the world around us… and to remember to love on ourselves while we’re at it. This blog is for every woman.

Thanks again for joining us! Next stop? Head over to the About page for the skinny on what we’ve got in store for you ladies, then check out my first blog post, “My Name is Wife”!

I don’t know which icon to click first!! I’m so excited about this and so excited to feel like each icon represents all sides of me… Wife “check”, Mom “check”, Superwoman “check”. Your outlet creates another outlet for me. #Thankful and excited!!! Bring on the blogs!

As a new mom I sometimes feel like there is no time for being more than just a mommy but listening to your words I am already encouraged that there is more to my life than diapers and wipes! Can not wait to hear your stories and struggles but most of all encouraging words. Thank you Wifemomsuperwoman.

Thank you for building this site. I totally understand the whole “going through the motions but feeling empty” thing. I look forward to this site and connecting with other women through it.

Thanks for the comment, Regina. I can relate to that too and know it makes it easier when we know we’re not alone in how we feel. So glad you’re here :)

Thank you for having this site as a way for women to connect and share their joys, frustrations, and experiences. I’ve done both….worked full-time with 3 kids, stayed at home with kids and sometimes feel that it is harder to be at home without the social interaction of the workplace. Thank you for having this site for all women to benefit from.

    • WifeMomSWoman

Thank you for the thoughtful comment, Ella! You are right… It’s both rewarding and hard either way. We will certainly talk about that in the Mom blog! So glad you’re here :)

I’m not a mommy yet, but for years I struggled with deciding to be or not be a mommy, how many children would I like to have or felt I could handle, a hospital or home birth, to work or stay at home. It’s amazing how as woman we come prewired to mother, yet there are no prewired answers cuz every Woman is unique and gifted differently. I’m now looking forward to becoming a mom, but having so many friends who are moms, it’s easy to question, “Can I really do this?” So please bring it on. I’m gratefule to hear all you have to offer.

    • WifeMomSWoman

It’s true… every woman is different and so is every baby! You’ll hear me say this a lot on the blogs, “There is no formula”! We each have our own unique plan in life and it’s our gift to each other to watch/learn from everyone else’s story. Thanks for the comment, Tiffany and check back on Wednesday for “My Name is Mom”!

As far as being a wife, still waiting for that experience. But I do feel connected to the idea of being a Superwoman. I LOVE LOVE LOVE being a woman. I love both the strength and tenderness we posses. And I absolutely hate it when a woman can’t see her true self as she is and who she can become. I have personally been there far too many times, and it takes other brave loving women to support those who are broken. Because as cheesy as it sound in a song, Girls can Run The World, and not by excluding men, but rather coming alongside and contributing all things female.

Wow your comment was packed with so much good stuff, Tiffany! So happy you’re here to take this journey with us, Superwoman!
